Many of the calls to our technical helpline relate to installation of the G3 Roller Shutter Contact YF10C.

These days a Grade 3 contact requires a quite different approach to installation than the basic roller shutters.

There have complicated magnetics and reed set-ups and they require everything to be set up exactly to the instructions to give the best results.

Sometimes the instructions are not enough on there own and a few extra hints and tips can help.

Now utilising a unique and innovative approach to the provision of multi-resistors in a small space Knight Fire and Security Products are proud to present to the intruder market our new Grade 2 and Grade 3 Flush Multi Resistor Contacts.

These contacts have the widest range of panel selection you could wish for, with resistor options, all on the one product to cover, 1k/1k, 2k2/2k2, 2k2/4k7, 4k7/4k7, 4k1 (8k2)/4k1 (8k2), 4k7/6k8, 5k6/5k6 and 10k//10k... oh and not forgetting a 'no resistor' 4-wire option.

They can be used in installations where there is more than 1 contact in a zone (shared zone) or standalone.

We offer a G2 option and a G3 option and also the choice between Quickfit (Rectangular Plates) and Speedfit (Round Plates).

The contacts look good and are still the normal 20mm body diameter that you are used to. So, great for retrofitting the millions of standard A40 flush which are installed around the world.

We will be adding 2 free spacers to all deliveries made from 10/10/2011 from our factory to our distributors with each of the above products. These are designed to help with offset doors, or if you need more space behind the case of the product.

They have been available for a while, but we feel they need more promoting, so are giving them away for free with the products they can be used with !

If you want more, they are available in packs of 5 from your distributor.

From today we will no longer be shipping KP10 panic buttons. The range has now been superceded by our Grade 3 PA2 range.

The model KP10 will be replaced by PA2EWR. This is a Grade 3 white panic button with selectable resistors.

The model KP10S will be replaced by PA2ESR. This is a Grade 3 black  panic button with stainless steel cover and selectable resistors.

Thankyou to all who have purchased the KP10 range in the past. You are sure to be delighted with the new PA2.

The PA2ESR and PA2ESW have a traditional, yet updated look,  a larger selection of resistors than the KP10, easy method of fitting in series and all microswitch operation.

There is also the option of side push with PA2ESR (white) and PA2SSR (black/s-steel) for places where wandering fingers might set them off accidentally !
