The latest addition to the KNIGHT family of EN50131-2-6 Grade 3 compatible products is a Class 3 Potted Surface Contact.

This works in single or shared zone installations with virtually all main UK control panels, with a wide selection of resistor options all on the ONE product. You just choose what you want by using a defined selection of the 8-cores in the contact's cable. Simple !

It has a decent operating gap, but can also detect when an interfering magnet is brought into close proximity.

On top of all this, its a traditional surface contact size, so can easily be retrofitted and doesn't look ugly and out of place with its surroundings.

YE50

This will also mean that the XE50 range will be taken out of our offering over the next few months- as the YE50 offers ALL the various options of this range - ON ONE CONTACT, saving time and space for installers and his/her toolbox, and the distributor and his/her shelf !  

NEW for the installation which is in an awkward spot we've launched a package of SPACERS.

- The Roller Shutter Spacer is a 10mm thick rubber moulding.  This not only helps if you need to step the reed side up, say out of a puddle or to help align with the lip of the shutter, but also acts as a shield if you are fitting on a metal floor.

We strongly recommend that this is used if your reed half is being laid onto a metal surface (even if the metal surface is covered a little) - it improves the operating gap and cuts down the risk of false activation.

SPA-RS

- The Large Surface Spacer is 3mm thick and comes in packs of 3. This can be used with the G3 YEND74 to help alignment in unusual door positions.

SPA-LS

- The Small Surface Spacer is 3mm thick and comes in packs of 3. This can be used with

Grade 1 Surface D10 to D60
Grade 2 Surface E20 to E60
Grade 2 Surface D25, YEND21, PDE50
Grade 3 Surface XEND21, YE50 

 to help alignment in unusual door positions.

SPA-SS

Knight Fire and Security have now launched 2 new Junction boxes.

J310 which is available in White or Brown (J310B) and has the following features.

- Weatherproof IP67 Case, Environmental Class 3.

- 10-Way PCB Mounted Terminal Block enclosed inside the case

- Connections to suit, conduit, armoured sleeving, trunking or even coax.

- Plenty of space inside to terminate

- TACT switch tamper

- Seal which can be used to close any unused end of the Junction Box.

The J320 (and J320B , Brown) has the same features, but comes with 20 easy use terminals (2 PCB terminal blocks).
